We’re excited to announce that Fairblock has integrated MoonPay’s PYUSDx stablecoin issuance platform, bringing confidential settlement to enterprise and institutional stablecoin operations.
Why confidentiality matters
Settling on a blockchain makes stablecoin payments more efficient, but public ledgers have kept many businesses on the sidelines. A merchant accepting stablecoins is publishing its revenue, and a contractor invoicing onchain is publishing their rates. For a business, confidentiality is a requirement for adoption, not a nice-to-have. Fairblock closes that gap by adding privacy to blockchain settlement.
What Fairblock and CUSD bring
Fairblock is building the confidentiality layer for onchain assets and payments providing programmable confidentiality for stablecoins, tokenized assets, transactions, and intelligent applications without requiring users to change wallets, bridge assets, or adopt new infrastructure.
CUSD is the stablecoin Fairblock issues using this infrastructure, built in collaboration with PayPal and MoonPay and collateralized by PayPal USD (PYUSD). Confidentiality is an optional setting rather than a default.
How MoonPay’s PYUSDx platform fits in
CUSD runs on PYUSDx, the issuance framework from MoonPay and M0, built with PayPal. Fairblock adds confidentiality to that stack.
Issuers can switch on transaction-level privacy when a use case requires it, while compliance screening and issuer controls stay active. In practice:
- Amounts and balances stay encrypted.
- Deposits and withdrawals stay visible and screenable.
- Authorized parties can access specific transfers for audit or legal requirements.
What this unlocks for businesses
Payroll, supplier payments, treasury movement, merchant settlement, and OTC trades can move onchain without broadcasting deal size or balance to every participant on the network.
Availability
CUSD is available through Stabletrust Pay, a browser-based app for confidential payments, live on Arbitrum and Ethereum, with Base launching soon.
Enterprises and institutions now have the efficiency of onchain settlement with the confidentiality they need, built into MoonPay’s issuance platform.
PYUSDx is not a regulated stablecoin and does not carry the same protections as regulated products. Its classification and availability vary by jurisdiction and by issuance model.
