We're excited to announce the launch of the MoonAgents Desktop App, a new application that allows AI agents running on your computer to use the blockchain. Available now at moonpay.com/agents, the Desktop App enables users to fund wallets, buy crypto, sell crypto, and automate trading strategies through simple, conversational prompts.
MoonAgents launched in February 2026 as a non-custodial software layer that gives AI agents access to wallets and funds, enabling them to transact via the MoonPay CLI. The Desktop App extends that infrastructure to a broader audience, providing users with an optimized environment for their existing agents, including Claude and Codex, to access MoonPay's services.
The app ships with three core capabilities: Skills, Automations, and Artifacts. Users can start from a pre-existing set of Skills to create workflows such as buying crypto, selling crypto, and setting real-time price alerts. Automations allow agents to run on a schedule without manual input. A unique Artifacts system dynamically generates custom HTML interfaces, including portfolio dashboards, spend trackers connected to MoonAgents Card, and token screeners, to create personalized tooling for each user's needs.
For developers and power users, MoonAgents remains available as a command-line tool via npm i -g @moonpay/cli, with full compatibility with AI coding environments such as Claude Code and OpenAI Codex.
