Changelog - June 2020

Highlights from what we’ve been working on over the last month at MoonPay. It includes coverage in 160+ countries, new support website, new cryptocurrency support and more customisation.

Live in over 160+ countries

We have doubled our list of supported regions, with users now able to purchase crypto in more than 160 countries in 12 different languages. More details regarding our coverage can be found here.

Support website with FAQ and 24/7 service

For customers who may have questions about our services, this link will take them to our new FAQ, where they can find answers to common queries. If they have browsed our FAQ and still need help, one of our support staff in Europe, Asia, or North America will be available to assist them.

New cryptocurrencies added

Binance USD (BUSD) and StormX (STMX) are the newest additions to the list of 40+ cryptocurrencies we support. The full list is here.

Update on BCH addresses

We have removed support for legacy addresses for Bitcoin Cash transactions, and now only accept the new BCH address format, starting with “bitcoincash:…”. This will prevent customers accidentally sending their Bitcoin Cash to a Bitcoin address, and vice versa.

More customisation of the widget via query params

The widget is now more customisable than ever with these optional query parameters:

Language

- Set the language of your widget by passing this parameter with an ISO 639-1 standard language code.

- Now supporting English (en), American English (enUS), Czech (cs), German (de), Spanish (es), French (fr), Italian (it), Japanese (ja), Korean (ko), Portuguese (pt), Russian (ru), Turkish (tr) and Chinese (zh).

lockAmount

- Use this parameter alongside the baseCurrencyAmount parameter to set the purchase amount and prevent the customer from modifying it.

We hope you enjoyed this update, and stay tuned for another list of changes next month. Until then, all the best from all of us here at MoonPay!
