To further accelerate onboarding the world to Web3, MoonPay is partnering with MetaMask, the world’s leading non-custodial wallet.

MetaMask users can now buy ETH and other ERC-20 tokens using preferred payment methods such as credit / debit card, bank transfer, and Apple Pay.

What is MetaMask?

MetaMask is the leading wallet for Ethereum assets and digital collectibles. Its wallet allows users to send, receive, swap, and buy Ethereum and other ERC-20 assets.

The wallet is available as a browser extension for Brave, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, as well as a mobile app on both iOS and Android.

MoonPay enables users to buy ETH directly in their MetaMask wallet.

MetaMask advantages

MetaMask is the preferred wallet for popular Ethereum DApps like Uniswap, 1inch, and Sushi, NFT marketplaces like OpenSea and LooksRare, and crypto games like Crazy Defense Heroes and Pegaxy. With more than 30 million monthly active users, it is the premier wallet to browse, buy, sell, and view NFTs all in one place.

And in a world of high Ethereum gas fees, MetaMask makes paying transaction costs easier for all users with its custom gas settings. Its gas estimates allow users to predict the required fees, whether it’s for an urgent transaction or one that can wait.

Buy crypto on MetaMask

To get started, install the MetaMask mobile wallet on your preferred platform.

After creating a new wallet address or importing an existing one, click the blue Buy button and continue to purchase Ethereum via MoonPay.

Users can buy crypto now via MoonPay directly in the MetaMask wallet by updating to Mobile v4.4 and soon, Extension v10.13.

Due to regulatory reasons, Ethereum purchases on MoonPay are available in every US state except New York, Texas, Louisiana, Rhode Island, Hawaii, and the US Virgin Islands.
