About me
I’m Tia, based in London, and I handle all things CRM on the Growth Marketing team. I was exposed to the startup world around three years ago and have been obsessed with it since. Prior to MoonPay, I dabbled a bit in crypto, but only since joining the company have I fully immersed myself in it, learning from the many talented individuals that work here.
Outside of MoonPay, I really enjoy singing and creating music, finding it very therapeutic. I’ve even challenged myself with a few small live performances in the past. I’ve taken a little break from this but intend to start back up again soon!
What does your typical day look like?
No two days are the same, but they start off pretty similarly. I usually begin by creating a to-do list and then check Slack and emails to keep up with any updates. I then have a quick peek at the performance of live email experiments to ensure everything is running smoothly.
Next, I start tackling my to-do list which, nine times out of 10, revolves around CRM experiment planning or execution for automated and one-off campaigns. All experiments have the same goal of incremental growth, so I’m always on the hunt for new opportunities to run exciting tests and gather more learnings.
These experiments are super collaborative, so I get to touch base with teams all across the business - the Creative team, Marketing team, Product team, Analytics team, and more - which really helps to shake up the day. As my role is so heavily driven by experimentation, I tend to sync with the Analytics team more than most!
What do you love about Growth?
My favourite thing about being on the Growth team is how data-driven and measurable the projects and people are. Everything I’m working on has a clean design, with a clear goal and measurable KPIs. I love writing up the analysis and making recommendations based on the results. I also love bouncing experiment ideas off of my team members and other colleagues across the business.
How and why did you end up joining MoonPay?
A former manager reached out and told me about the exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, data-driven Web3 company. It sounded amazing, but I was a little skeptical at first as I don’t have a background in crypto or Web3. After doing some research, I found myself excited to learn more about this revolutionary industry and to play a part in onboarding others to Web3.
What do you love about working at MoonPay?
I love the culture! I’ve worked on quite a few projects and collaborated with multiple departments in my time here so far. Everyone is extremely talented, has a positive attitude, and is passionate about Web3. Being a crypto newbie, I’ve already learned so much and everyone is happy to fill in any gaps in knowledge.
I also love how fast-paced and ambitious the company is. New opportunities arise all the time so there’s always something to shake up your day. You’ll never be bored!
What’s an exciting challenge you’ll face in your role over the next 6-12 months?
An exciting challenge is expanding our existing CRM touchpoints and identifying new opportunities to send the right message at the right time to drive growth. This is very much a test and learn approach, hence the heavy emphasis on experimentation—some things will work, others won’t, but all will give us insightful learnings. In the future, we’ll have a full bank of findings that we can use to inform future experiments and decisions.
