MoonPay and Exodus (NYSE American: EXOD) are bringing crypto to the starting line of the MoonPay X Games League.
As part of the league's inaugural Summer Draft, all 40 selected athletes will receive a 2,500 dollar signing bonus in XO Cash, deposited directly into their Exodus Wallet. Launched today, XO Cash is a fully reserved, USD-backed stablecoin issued and managed by MoonPay, built on M0’s open stablecoin infrastructure, making its first real-world deployment. It is now live and available.
Each athlete will also receive a custom MoonPay XGL Exodus Card. The NFC-enabled card connects directly to the athlete's wallet, giving them instant, contactless access to their funds at millions of merchants worldwide. No delays, no conversions, no friction.
This marks one of the earliest instances of professional action-sports athletes receiving league compensation in stablecoins.
The MoonPay X Games League is transforming action sports from standalone competitions into a global, co-ed, team-based league with athlete salaries, benefits, and season-long competition. The Summer Draft introduces structured compensation as part of that evolution.
