We're excited to announce that MoonPay now accepts Discover® Network payments for U.S. users of its platform.
The addition of Discover® Network enables its cardholders in the United States to buy and sell crypto across MoonPay's network of more than 500 enterprise partners, including leading wallets, exchanges, and applications.
A Growing Network of Payment Options
Discover Network joins Visa and Mastercard as the third major U.S. card network supported on MoonPay's onramp, alongside Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Venmo, bank transfers, and regional payment rails.
MoonPay was the first crypto onramp to integrate PayPal and Venmo. Adding Discover Network extends the same approach. If a payment method has meaningful consumer scale in the U.S., it should work on MoonPay.
About Discover® Network
Discover Network is an international acceptance network that provides global acceptance to cardholders of participating issuers from around the world. It empowers intuitive checkout experiences with fast approvals and flexible transactions to help consumers pay how, when, and where they choose.
"Every payment method we add removes a reason someone doesn't convert at checkout. We've built MoonPay around a simple principle: every way people already pay should work for crypto," said Richard Harrison, Vice President of Banking and Payments Partnerships at MoonPay. "We were first with PayPal. First with Venmo. Discover® Network is the next step. We're enabling Discover® Network cardholders to pay for crypto the way they pay for everything else."
"At Discover Network, our goal is to provide consumers with the flexibility to pay when, where, and how they prefer," said Claudia Schaefer, Vice President of Strategic Client Management for Discover Global Payment Network. "Through our payment solutions, we empower businesses like MoonPay to deliver a consistently secure and seamless experience for their users."
