MoonPay is pleased to support Celo-native USDT and USDC on Valora, a popular crypto wallet.
Founded in 2021, Valora is a mobile crypto app originally built on Celo, an emerging Ethereum Layer-2 and mobile-first blockchain network designed for fast, low-cost payments worldwide. The app is now available across multiple EVM chains and allows users to send, swap, and save their favorite tokens.
Starting today, Valora users can access Tether (USDT) and USD Coin (USDC) directly with MoonPay from the Valora app.
This partnership opens doors to more opportunities in the Celo ecosystem and beyond, including sending USDT or USDC to virtually anyone with a phone number, paying for gas fees using stablecoins, and participating in stablecoin liquidity pools through Valora's native DeFi integrations.
USDT and USDC are the world’s most popular stablecoins and currently the third and sixth most popular cryptocurrencies respectively.
