MoonPay is pleased to announce that we are now ISO 27001 certified!
ISO 27001 is one the most widely known and internationally recognized standards for information security management, often referred to as the gold standard for information security.
As part of the ISO/IEC 27000 family of standards, ISO 27001 was designed to help organizations minimize information security risks. By adopting ISO's security framework, MoonPay will continue to provide industry-leading payments solutions while upholding the highest standards in risk management, operational excellence, and the protection of customer data.
“Earning this certification further demonstrates our unwavering commitment to protect our customers,” said MoonPay’s co-founder and CEO, Ivan Soto-Wright. “This achievement not only validates our ongoing efforts around information security, but also ensures our users have the utmost confidence in our products.”
As MoonPay moves into 2024, we will continue to maintain the highest standards of information security. Having successfully completed our SOC2 Type 1 certification in Q2 2023, we are now moving forward with our SOC2 Type 2 certification, which is expected to be completed in Q2 2024. To further strengthen our security posture, we have also initiated the process of obtaining ISO 27018 certification, which we expect to complete in Q3 2024.
Information security is essential to MoonPay’s business, and we are confident these certifications will enable us to build even greater trust with our customers and partners.
